Op 31 augustus 1980 begon de val van het communisme toen het regime in Polen aan 21 eisen van stakende arbeiders voldeed. Op 10 november registreerde Lech Wałęsa de vakbeweging NSZZ Solidarność. Om dit te herdenken en als dank naar de Nederlanders die Polen toen steunden, kan de komede twee weken een online concert bekenen worden. Dit wordt u aangeboden door de Poolse ambassade in Nederland. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of “Solidarność” trade union, we would like to invite you, together with the International Holland Music Sessions, to listen to and watch a concert performed especially for this occasion by:
Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio conducted by Anna Duczmal-Mróz
with a special participation of violinist Klara Gronet
The concert, organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Netherlands, is dedicated to members and activists of NSZZ Solidarność - Poles fighting for freedom and democracy, and to our Dutch friends who in 1980s supported the first independent trade union in Central Europe and its representatives.
